An inspection at a Chisinau wholesale warehouse has revealed products that have passed their shelf life. The inspection was conducted on the notification of the Prosecutor General's Office as part of an anti-smuggling investigation, IPN reports.
According to the Consumer Protection Agency, the wholesaler was selling food, cleaning agents, hygiene products, and other household goods.
The inspection revealed that the shelf life on many products had been erased intentionally. Others had false expiration information superimposed with blue ink.
The Agency's inspectors issued cease-and-desist orders.
