The “Pro Comunitate” Center will soon hold a national contest to select the experts who will form part of the working group responsible for drafting the National Strategy for Developing the Youth Sector of Moldova for 2014-2020.
The Center’s executive director Vitalie Postu told a roundtable meeting that the Center was responsible for working out a number of district strategies in the field. “We were one of the three organizations entrusted with the task of working out district youth strategies before the Ministry of Youth and Sport was created. After this state institution was founded, we managed to convince it that it is very important to continue drafting district youth strategies,” said Vitalie Postu.
He voiced hope that the worked out district strategies will be used as basis for the new national strategy for 2014-2020. The period for thinking up the strategy coincides with a number of activities implemented by the European Commission in Moldova until 2020. Vitalie Postu added that the national document will be an important one for the youth and the whole civil society of Moldova.
The task of working out the document will be entrusted to a team of experts and representatives of munities in charge of youth policies.
