The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and all the heads of public administrations should carry out a permanent dialogue with experts and their counterparts from the European Commission and discuss all the existent problems and results with them so that both of the sides perceive them in the same way, Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev said at the meeting of the National Commission for European Integration on January 25, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Premier, experts of Moldovan public institutions consider that the stipulations of the Moldova-EU Plan of Action have been generally implemented. At the same time, the Premier considers that the reforms initiated in all the sectors should be continued and extended. The normative basis must be efficiently implemented so that every citizen and the whole country perceive these results, Vasile Tarlev said. The Premier said that among the latest accomplishments of the dialogue with the EU are the opening of the EU Common Visa Application Centre, the activity of the EU Border Assistance Mission, the signing of the visa facilitation and readmission agreements with the EU and others. But he said that he is not satisfied with the situation in the areas of justice, press and corruption combating. Tarlev said that the EU-Moldova Plan of Action offered the possibility of laying a solid foundation for reforms in a number of fields that will not be stopped when the Plan is implemented because most of the actions envisage a continuous development. The path to European integration is one-way only, Vasile Tarlev said, mentioning that he is glad that Moldova made great progress and this is only the beginning of what the authorities plan to achieve. The Plan of Action was signed on February 22, 2005. It covers a period of three years.
