The Moldovan experts consider a pro-European government coalition will be formed, based on compromises. Such conclusions were formulated in the program “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
Victor Juc, vice director of the Institute of European Integration and Political Sciences of the Academy of Sciences, said the future alliance will be marked by compromises on the part of the pro-European parties. “The ordinary people must feel the activity of governing the country. I believe that the leaders of the pro-European parties will have enough wisdom not to repeat their mistakes. If at macro level the former government managed to do many things, at micro level it has yet many shortcomings. So, they should focus more on the micro level, on the daily needs of the people. I think the pro-European alliance will be formed if a compromise is reached. It’s normal that the leaders of these parties now speak harsher as they will have to make compromises,” he stated.
Director of the Center for Sociological Investigations and Marketing “CBS-AXA” Ion Jigau also considers that a pro-European alliance will be formed. “The pro-European coalition will be created, but it’s not known for how long it will work. We should not forget that in a year and a half, this alliance will have to choose the head of state, but it will not have the necessary number of votes to elect the President. I think the three pro-European parties cannot ensure the European integration alone. This course must be based on a national consensus,” he stated.
Anatol Taranu, director of the Institute for Political Analysis and Consultancy “Politicon”, is more optimistic about the pro-European alliance’s chances to complete its mission. “I think that during a year and a half, the pro-European parties will manage to amend the Constitution so that the head of state is elected by the people’s vote,” he said.
