The technical working meeting centering on the lending of natural gas to the Transnistrian region was set for January 30, IPN reports.
The Bureau for Reintegration Policies said that representatives of energy enterprises from both banks of the Nistru River will be invited to the meeting. They are to discuss technical aspects of the implementation of the support.
"We reiterate the Moldovan authorities’ firm commitment to support the inhabitants of both banks of the Nistru River and to promptly deal with the difficulties encountered due to the current energy crisis," noted the Bureau.
Under a decision by the Commission for Emergency Situations, the volume of gas lent to the Transnistrian region must be returned by March 1 or, in the absence of the possibility of returning it in a physical form, the gas will be paid.
