Adrian Lupușor, executive director of the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”, wonders if the time is opportune for replacements in the Cabinet now that a war is ongoing on the country’s border and hybrid warfare and an economic crisis are witnessed inside the country. According to him, it is the case to overcome these temporary difficulties by stability, unity and internal cohesion, IPN reports.

“I can be missing something, but we have a war going nearby and also hybrid warfare and an economic crisis inside the country, with the winter approaching. Is the time opportune for Cabinet reshuffles/changes or we should breathe in and overcome these temporary difficulties by stability, unity and internal cohesion?” asked Adrian Lupușor.

According to him, the current Government was empowered to manage the affairs during four years. “Do we want systemic reforms with a long-term effect? This is why that mandate of at least four years is needed. The ministers need predictability and political support to promote the reform agenda, not to be summoned to strange nocturnal meetings,” stated the expert.

A meeting involving MPs and ministers of the Party of Action and Solidarity was held at the President Palace in the evening of November 13. The press reported that the meeting was presumably convened to discuss changes in the Cabinet. Asked by journalists about the purpose of the meeting, MPs said they discussed the security and political situation. Later, the PAS came with a reaction, saying it was a meeting of the MPs of the parliamentary majority with the President of the Republic of Moldova and the Premier held in connection with the energy blackmail against the Republic of Moldova planned by Russia and the attempts by the grouping of stealing and war to cause chaos in the country.
