Though many experts are optimistic that early elections will be avoided, they are skeptical about the chances of the Leanca Government to be voted in on February 10. Such opinions were stated in the program “Reply” on the TV channel Prime, IPN reports.

Political analyst Olga Nicolenco considers the chances of the Leanca Government to be installed are slim as the pro-European parliamentary parties cannot come to terms. “It looks as if the November 30 elections were won by the Kremlin and that we didn’t go through elections, but through wreckage that brought our reforms and wishes to an end. It’s clear that neither the PCRM will vote given that they filed four censure motions against the Leanca 1 Government,” she stated.

Director of the Resource Center for Human Rights (CReDO) Sergiu Ostaf believes there are yet chances for the Leanca 2 Government to be voted in. “In the Liberal Party there are persons who want to vote the Government. We will see if they have the courage to discuss this. On the other hand, there are a number of constraints that would make the PL vote for a new Leanca Government. Besides the foreign factor, I think a part of the voters also want the PL to vote the Leanca 2 Government,” he said.

Political analyst Vasile Croitoru thinks the Communists can vote, while the Liberals will most probably not vote. “The possibility for the PL to vote for the Leanca Government is diminishing now that the Liberals insist on being allowed to take part in governance. Communists’ conditions are not so harsh. I think an agreement with the PCRM can be reached,” he stated.

Politician Ana Tcaci considers that if the Liberal Party wants the situation in the country to improve, they should vote for the Leanca Government. “The PL should vote now unconditionally if the country’s interests are more important for them. We will afterward see. There is a chance that the Communists will also vote as they have changed considerably and left a door open when they said they want to see the government program first,” she said.
