After the relaxation of restrictions, some of the tourists hurried to reach the seaside. Hotel owners in Greece, Turkey and Romania have offers for Moldovan tourists too.

Vlada Şoimu and her family went to the seaside in Greece. “Rules must be obeyed on the beach, in hotels, at terraces. The lounge chairs are placed two meters from each other. When we arrived at the hotel, they measured our body temperature and we wrote a statement where we specified contact data of relatives in the eventuality of an incident,” she related. The number of tourists is lower than the previous years. The hotels no longer provide Swedish buffets, opting for the “A la Carte” system.

The Moldovan tourists can for now reach Greece only by road.

On July 2, Romania eliminated the self-isolation rule. This way, the Moldovan tourists can reach the sea without self-isolating for 14 days. Gabriela Preuteasa profited from this fact and went to the seaside in Constanţa. “There are a number of restrictions on the beach. At terraces, only four persons can sit at a table. We chose a villa situated 650 m from the sea. There, we didn’t face strict protection rules intended for tourists. We individually focused on the observance of hygiene and social distancing,” said the tourist.

Contacted by IPN for details, Mihai Ceban, of a travel agency, confirmed that the Moldovans can travel to Turkey, Greece, Romania, and Albania. On July 4, about 300 passengers flied to Turkey by a charter flight. The next flight will be operated on July 11. Several hundred persons left for Greece by personal cars and by bus.
