From April through May, an exit poll will be made at all the Moldovan courts. The chairman of the Supreme Council of Magistrature (SCM), Nicolae Clima, has told Info-Prim Neo that, in April, the poll will be carried out as an experiment at pilot-courts: the court of Ciocana sector of Chisinau and the Criuleni district court. Later, by the end of May, the poll will expand over the other courts from the country.
Special places will be created in courts' quarters, a table and several chairs, as every person having visited the court will be offered to evince his/her view about the quality of services he/she benefited from. People will be answering questions as: where have they been, what for, what law-suit, who has received them, how have they been treated, how have they been explained the requested information, do they know what they have to do, etc.
“A generalized study will be compiled in the end, which will help us evaluate the quality of the provided services and the performance of the employees of the judiciary,” Nicolae Clima has specified.
The poll is carried out as part of the actions provided for in the Country Threshold Plan (CTP) of Moldova. Through this Plan, the Moldovan Government committed to continue, with the support of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the reforms pursuing to curb corruption in five sectors. The Moldovan Government has benefited from $24,7 million from the US Government for this project.
