The Government decided to relaunch the “Library from under the Fir Tree” initiative as part of the “At Home for Christmas” campaign. All those interested are urged to join the campaign and to donate books that will reach national school libraries, IPN reports.
“For the second consecutive year, the Christmas Tree from inside the Government Building will become the symbol of generosity and solidarity and will promote reading in the public space,” the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă told a news conference.
He said that hundreds of people came to the Government Building last year and donated tens of children’s books.
The persons who want to make donations are urged to join the initiative during December 11-17.
