The Cabinet instituted the normative framework for the Msign service and for piloting the Interoperability Platform. The approved documents form part of the strategic program for technologically modernizing the Government (e-Transformation), IPN reports.

The governmental digital signature service MSign is a mechanism for implementing and checking the authenticity of the digital signature by users, including in the process of using information systems and electronic services.

Thus, the people will be able to sign documents, reports and statements to institutions at a distance or to file online applications and petitions to the authorities. The businesspeople will use MSign to sign contracts at a distance, saving thus time and the company’s resources.

As to the Interoperability Platform, it was instituted as a technical solution that facilitates the exchange of data between public authorities, public institutions and state-owned companies that have state information resources. The implementation of this platform will be preceded by a trial period until December 2014.
