Forecasters warn that an exceptional danger of fire of a natural character of the fifth class will persist until September 12. In connection with the yellow code advisory, the firefighters call on the people not to set dry vegetation and solid waste on fire, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate for Emergencies warns the population not to start fires in woods, parks and wooded areas. Given the low level of moisture, the high winds and high temperatures, any uncontrollable source of fire can cause large fires. In case of hotbeds of fire, the people are asked to call the 112 Emergency Service so that emergency response teams could liquidate the fire at the initial stage.
The hydrological warning was also maintained. The yellow code advisory for hydrological drought was kept for the Prut River, on the Criva – Costești sector, and for small rivers and ponds. The orange code advisory was maintained for the rivers Răut, Bâc, Botna, Cogâlnic, Ialpug and Cahul. The business entities and the population are warned to rationally use the water resources.
