According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in 2014 – 2015 during classes she taught, the teacher repeatedly hit three fifth graders on the head and constantly insulted them. This way the teacher decided to punish them for not doing their homework, in the presence of the classmates. In another episode, the culprit forced the three minors to do by 1,000 squats. This was physical effort of exaggerated intensity that led to the excessive overtiredness of the three children.

The prosecutors said that by such acts the teacher humiliated the students, caused them intense physical pain and mental suffering that represent inhuman and degrading treatment. The case became known when one of the students told his parents what happened. These filed a complaint to the prosecutor’s office and legal action was taken against the teacher.

When questioned in special conditions, the boy said he wasn’t the only humiliated child. In 2015, the teacher was suspended from post at the insistence of prosecutors. The woman left Moldova and was put on the wanted list. Last summer she returned and the prosecution was resumed.
