The former Prime Minister of Moldova, businessman Ion Sturza on a social networking site commented on the situation of the Moldovan farmers who face difficulties following the imposition of commercial restrictions on the import of Moldovan products by Russia. He said he understands very well the fury and despair of the farmers and processors as he also has large amounts of money blocked in agriculture and the processing industry of Moldova. However, he called upon the farmers not to yield to emotions and the manipulation of political fossils and those who are on the margins in politics, IPN reports.
“They already see the pray. This is the Republic of Moldova. You should better forget it. Solutions to offset the shock created by the ban can be found only by a civilized dialogue with the authorities. The developments show that the problem does not reside in the European option of the Moldovans, but in the choice between living in a civilized way and with dignity and living with a red star on the forehead, as the pseudo-patriots from the Byk want,” stated Ion Sturza. He added that the closer the tractors from the northern districts come to Chisinau, the greater the possibility that ‘tanks’ with red stars will come from the south.
