A former policeman from Stoianovca village of Cantemir district was found dead in a drainage channel near the village. The 37-year-old man was shot in the chest from a hunter’s gun. The arm wasn’t found at the scene.
Contacted by IPN, Mariana Betivu, press officer of the General Police Inspectorate, said there are a number of suspects, but nobody was yet arrested. The investigation goes on.
The victim earlier worked as a sector police officer. He was fond of hunting and held legally a gun, but this wasn’t identified.
The police are examining a number of versions, including murder out of imprudence.
