The “Festival of Hope” will take place at the Chisinau Arena on July 15-16, starting at 5pm. The event is organized with the assistance of Christian Evangelical Baptist and Pentecostal churches and other evangelical churches of Moldova together with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of the U.S. Will Graham is the special invitee of the event.
In a news conference hosted by IPN, Valeriu Giletski, chairman of the organizational committee, said that this is a charity event. About 10,000 people are expected to take part in each of the two days of the event. The program includes Christian music sung by famous singers from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, and the U.S. A 700-member choir called “Voice of Hope” will sing Christian songs and hymns.
The event is also a spiritual one and will include a prayer for the Republic of Moldova. The guest from the U.S. Will Graham - the main speaker - will tell about the role of hope in people’s lives.
Victor Pavlovski, Bishop of the Pentecostal churches of Moldova, said the country’s citizens need hope. As there are broadcast not many news items that bring hope, the people lose hope. “God is the only source of hope”. That’s why the evangelical churches of Moldova undertook to organize this event so as to bring hope to the hearts of the people in Moldova.
The bishop noted that the event is staged for evangelical churches and also for the Republic of Moldova, for all the people who want to take part. “We invite you to come and not to lose the chance and the possibility of being present there where you could listen to songs that bring peace to the heart, messages and confessions that will bring hope to your heart and you will be able to listen to God’s message through our brother Will Graham,” urged Victor Pavlovski.
