European Investment Bank could credit transportation and energetic sectors of Moldova

Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Ivan Pilip, during his meeting with President Vladimir Voronin on Friday declared that the Republic of Moldova could beneficiate, as an EU neighbor country, from long term credits from the European Investment Bank, offered for investment projects in strategic areas such as transportation infrastructure and the energetic sector. According to a press release of the Presidency, the EIB official also declared that the collaboration project of the Republic of Moldova with the European Investment Bank is still being elaborated. The head of state has underlined the interest of the Moldovan authorities in establishing relations with the EIB, a prestigious financial institution, which represents the EU member countries. The president especially referred to the realization opportunity of investment projects for the transportation infrastructure development, and mentioned as other priority directions the cooperation in the energetic sector, the processing industry, bioethanol production. Vladimir Voronin has underlined the importance of intensifying the bilateral Moldovan-Czech relations, and highly appreciated the current collaborations, as well as the development perspective of the cooperation relations. The president mentioned the significance for Moldovan authorities of the Czech technologies in organization of small agricultural enterprises, the evolution of the collaboration in producing agricultural machines and the initiation of cooperation in seed production. The meeting was also attended by the director of the Department of Eastern Europe and Baltic countries of this bank, A.Verikos, and the president of the „Ceska Vychodni” JSC administration from the Czech Republic, Zdenec Zbitec.
