The efforts on the economic segment the next years should be aimed at increasing the rights of the shareholders of the commercial organizations, especially of the companies quoted on the Stock Exchange, considers Nathalie Gasperini, the author of a study of the legislation and policies concerning commercial companies and the adjustment of Moldova’s legislation to the EU standards.
This is one of the 16 specialized studies made within the Support to the Implementation of Moldova – EU Agreements Project that is financed by the EU, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the study, Nathalie Gasperini says that the rights of the employees should be more clearly defined, especially in case of restructuring, merger or other transformations.
“The meeting of the modern standards of the legislation on commercial organizations is very important for the commercial relations between Moldova and the EU, especially for the future, given that negotiations are held on the Association Agreement,” the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel said in the launch of the study.
The Moldovan commercial organizations will be more prepared to enter the EU market, while the potential investors’ trust in Moldova’s business environment will increase, the European Ambassador stated.
Alexandru Gozun, the head of the Economy Ministry’s Business Environment Development Division, said the reforms aimed at improving the regulations concerning entrepreneurship and simplifying the company registration and business running procedures that have been implemented lately led to the modernization of the legal framework existing in the area.
Another two studies launched concomitantly within the same project centered on the harmonization of the legislation on transport and the environment.
Martin Horseling, the leader of the project’s team, said the project is close to completion. The last three studies of the 16 refer to the adjustment of the legislation on labor, energy and finance. They will be launched early next year.
