Moldova will receive €31 million in financial support following the signing of the Financing Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Commission regarding the “EU4 Moldova Integration and Stability” Program. The advisory opinion for the negotiation and signing of the agreement was approved by the Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission.
The Program will support resilience, recovery and priority reforms in the Republic of Moldova, in accordance with the 2021-2027 Association Agenda and the country’s EU accession process. Of this financial support, €10 million is for improving national capacities in relation to security threats and migration challenges. Another €10 million are for the agricultural sector, and €11 million euros will go to implement reforms in the fields of public finance management, justice, competition, labor-related matters, and energy efficiency.
The agreement will have an implementation term of 72 months from taking effect.
