The European Caravan organized on the occasion of Europe Day on May 22 will get to the Soroca Fortress where there will be presented successful projects and opportunities for obtaining financing from the European Union and the European Investment Bank and will be held open discussions with beneficiaries of the project “Moldova’s Orchard”, IPN reports.
Between 6pm and 9pm, in the Soroca Fortress Park, those interested will be able to take part in interactive activities by EU-funded projects, products fair and degustation, quizzes, master classes and workshops. Activities for children will be held in parallel. The events will end with a concert entitled “European Caravan with Vali Boghean Band” and with lighting of the Soroca Fortress in the colors of the European Union.
On June 5, the European Caravan will go to Ștefan Vodă with the same program. As from 2pm, the residents and guests of the town will be welcomed in “Mihai Eminescu” Park.
In a news conference centering on Europe Day 2022, the Head of the EU Delegation in Chisinau Janis Mažeiks noted that the EU is the most important commercial partner of the Republic of Moldova. “The European Union has supported thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Moldova for them to be able to work more efficiently and to export products to the European market. Until now, two thirds of the exports of the Republic of Moldova have been directed to the European Union member states,” said the official.
The European Caravan was launched on May 15 in “Micul Cluj” Park in Ungheni town, where a fair of national products, vegetables, fresh and dried fruit, wine and lavender was staged.
