The students are invited to take part in the contest for the best logo of the celebrations of Europe’s day in Moldova. The winning work will be on the promotional stuffs of the EU delegation to Moldova. Europe’s Day, celebrated in the EU countries on May 9, marks the anniversary of the European cooperation plan drafted by the former French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman. The bureau of the delegation of the European Union Commission to Moldova was inaugurated in October 2005, having the status of a diplomatic mission. The Europe Day was officially marked in Moldova in 2007 for the first time, upon the European Commission’s suggestion. Later, the Moldovan Government decided to mark the Day on May 8 not 9, as May 9 is the Victory Day.
