The fourth ordinary session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly is taking place in Armenia’s Yerevan on March 16-18. Moldova is represented by Democratic MP Dumitru Diacov, IPN reports.
In the event, MPs from the Eastern Partnership countries and MEPs will discuss a series of resolutions concerning joint road, railway and air transport projects, the potential and new cooperation commitments in the area of energy efficiency and renewable sources of energy within the EaP. Another subject for discussion will be a stronger partnership through the European Neighborhood Instrument for 2014-2020, the Moldovan Parliament’s press service has said.
The MPs will also confer on the EaP Riga Summit and the European Neighborhood Policy. The session will include a debate on justice. There will be presented the progress made in doing reforms in the field and the impact of the programs financed by the EU with the aim of strengthening the justice sector in the Eastern Partnership countries. The co-chairman of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly Borys Tarasyuk, who is a member of the Ukrainian delegation, will present a resolution on the Russian military aggression in Ukraine.
Founded in 2011, the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly represents the parliamentary dimension of the Eastern Partnership and a platform for dialogue between the MEPs and the Eastern partners on subjects related to the implementation of political, social and economic reforms.
