The state-owned mail company “Posta Moldovei” puts a series of postage stamps entitled “Waltz from the film My Sweet and Tender Beast. Musical masterpiece of the 20th century. Composer Eugen Doga” on March 1. The stamp includes the portrait of composer Eugen Doga, a pair of dancers waltzing in the background and the score of the waltz from the aforementioned film, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the company.
The postage stamp was issued in a number of 200,000 copies. One stamp costs 1.75 lei. The design was worked out by Vitaliu Pogolsh.
The given series of postage stamps is designed to promote the waltz from the film My Sweet and Tender Beast, composed by Eugen Doga.
This piece of music is considered a masterpiece of the 20th century. It is the soundtrack of the famous film that has the same name as the waltz, which was directed by Emil Loteanu.
