Master Eugen Doga is working on a new composition that will lay at the basis of the love story between Mihai Eminescu and Veronica Micle. Contacted by IPN, the composer said the work will incorporate dozens of songs and will be recorded and launched at the end of this year.

“There will be large scenes and choral songs. I don’t know how it will be titled. I hope that this music will be at the same level as the pottery of the great personalities,” said Eugen Doga.

The composition will be recorded at the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio Moldova”. On the Independence Day and the Romanian Language Day on August 27 and 31, Eugen Doga will give two classical music concerts that will involve valuable artists from Moldova who work abroad. Until then the master is assisting the artists in rehearsals alongside the Opera House orchestra.

The concerts on the Independence Day and the Romanian Language Day are traditionally staged every year. Master Eugen Doga hasn’t recorded a song in Moldova for over 20 years.
