The MPs of Iurie Leanca’s group didn’t join the parliamentary majority announced by the PDM on January 11 because the candidate for premiership and the government program are not known, MP Eugen Carpov said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.

“We were invited to join the parliamentary coalition, but we do not know the candidate for Prime Minister, the government program and team. We do not sign something that does not have content,” said the lawmaker.

Eugen Carpov doubted the functionality of the new alliance. “This majority does not embody the classical format of a parliamentary majority, constituted from parliamentary groups. Besides groups, it includes half-groups and unaffiliated MPs. I cannot clearly imagine how a Government based on such a majority will work,” said the MP.

He considers that the future Government will not enjoy credibility. “I see no chances for the foreign partners to unblock the financing intended for Moldova. For this to happen, we must have a credible Government with upright people. Even if we have such a Government, at least half a year will have to pass for this to be able to show deeds. Until then, it will have to cope by itself,” stated Eugen Carpov.
