President Nicolae Timofti is convinced that Moldova is wanted in the large European family. In a TV program, the head of state said the people who support the European integration course must convince the others that this is the only way of improving the quality of life, IPN reports.
“I call on the people to be patient and convincing and to support those who want to implement the government program till the end, not to remove them,” stated Nicola Timofti.
As to the elections of 2014, the head of state said he is sure that the forces that are ruling now will remain in power. “I call upon the people to back the current government and to follow the path to European integration,” he added.
According to Nicolae Timofti, the EU is a supporter and a partner of Moldova and a conclusive proof is its decision to increase the import quota on wine from Moldova after Russia imposed a ban on the imports of Moldovan wine.
