The European Union has transferred to the Republic of Moldova €70 million in non-reimbursable budget support intended for the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund, IPN reports, with reference to the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.
The money will be used to pay on-bill compensation for energy costs to vulnerable people.
The tranche of €70 million forms part of the €105 million in budget support announced by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen during her visit to Chisinau in October.
