The European Union intends to raise the number of European high-ranking advisers who provide consultancy to a number of state institutions. The announcement was made by the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel in a news conference, IPN reports.

The European official said that all the European high-ranking advisers who already work in state institutions will continue to work after 2013, when the first stage of the technical assistance project will be completed. “The high-ranking advisers working in ministries represent a direct support form. This way we can ensure connection between the EU member states and the institutions that encountered problems in the European integration process,” said Dirk Schuebel.

He added that the EU initiative was determined by the necessity of offering permanent counseling in a number of crucial sectors of Moldova, including justice.
