The ninth meeting of the European Action Group for Moldova will take place in Chisinau on September 1. This mechanism was launched in January 2010, on the initiative of Romania and France, in a move to promote Moldova’s interests and visibility in the European agenda. It will be the second meeting staged in Chisinau, after that of September 2010, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The event will involve foreign ministers and secretaries of state of foreign ministries of the EU member states and European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle.
The main subject of the discussions will be Moldova’s European agenda, especially the provisional implementation, from September 1 this year, of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU and the identification of opportunities to help the Moldovan farmers export their products to the EU market. There will be also discussed the situation in the region.
