The European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova on Monday hoisted the Ukrainian flag to mark three years since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, IPN reports.

"Despite three years of uninterrupted war, Ukraine's spirit remains unwavering. The courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people inspires us all. The EU will support Ukraine to achieve peace from a position of strength," reads a press release.

The EU Delegation expresses its support for Ukraine on its path to a just and lasting peace, ensuring that any agreement includes Ukraine and the EU.

Today marks three years since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. According to international media, the war, which the Kremlin has always called a "special military operation to denazify and demilitarize" Ukraine, spans hundreds of kilometers of front lines, devastated vast areas of the country, killed tens of thousands of people and displaced millions more. Despite the expectations, Ukraine has endured an existential struggle for survival, supported by an influx of Western military assistance.

On the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, a summit entitled "Defense and Security Strategy of Unity. Action Plan" is being held on Monday. The event brings together 35 leaders from around the world, and 13 European leaders have already arrived in Kyiv, including the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
