Escapee from minors’ penitentiary detained

The convict that escaped from the Lipcani Penitentiary No.2 was caught at the Costesti-Stanca border crossing point on October 2, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Department of Penitentiary Institutions. The prisoner is now at the Briceni District Police Department, where he will be investigated for escape. The 18-year-old man, who is native of Micauti village of Straseni district, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for murder. On September 12, his imprisonment term was reduced to six months and a half under the law on amnesty. The young man faces 2 to 5 years behind bars over escape.
