The President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola will pay a visit to Moldova. The official will take part in the European Moldova Assembly in central Chisinau. The information was confirmed for IPN by the Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă.
Roberta Metsola will address the European Moldova Assembly rally, alongside President Maia Sandu. The European official will attend the event at the invitation of President Sandu.
Ahead of the visit, the European Parliament President said that she looks forward to being in Chisinau on Sunday to support Moldova’s European choice. “You belong in the European Union and we fully support you on the path to future membership. The European Parliament will always be a true friend and an ally to Moldova. Because to us there is no question: our future is together,” stated Roberta Metsola
The participants in the event will gather together in the central square of Chisinau between 10am and 11am. The European Moldova Assembly will be inaugurated with the signing of the national anthem of the Republic of Moldova by soprano Valentina Naforniță.
The European Moldova Assembly which was announced by President Maia Sandu is to deliver to the international community the Moldovans’ sincere wish to be part of the European family. The event is staged ahead of the European Political Community Summit that Moldova will host on June 1.
