Prime Minister Dorin Recean traveled to Floresti to discuss the failure of the local dam with mayors from the district.
The prime minister said a report will soon be completed evaluating the environmental impact of the incident and proposing solutions for avoiding flooding.
In June, the Floresti Dam on the Raut River failed, partially emptying the reservoir and leading to silting and bad smell. Some blame a local farmer who allegedly damaged the gates so as to prevent flooding of his property.
