Energy indemnities to rise

The indemnities for natural gas and power will rise. The decision was adopted by the Government on Wednesday, after the Energy Regulator (ANRE) raised the energy prices, Info- Prim Neo reports. Users of gas ovens will get indemnities worth 30%, while the ones having autonomous heating – 21%. The indemnities will rise by 13 per cent for a monthly consumption of less than 60 kWt and by 16 % for users of electric ovens. The indemnities represent 50 and, respectively, 25% of the monthly normative consumption. The number of indemnity beneficiaries is 155,000 people for natural gas and 229,000 – for electricity. The indemnities will incur additional 7.3 million lei from the national budget. The indemnities in December will be taken from the 2009 budget. The indemnities were increased half a year ago for the last time.
