The Energy Efficiency Agency that is an administrative authority managed by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure will be reorganized by merger with the Energy Efficiency Fund. A decision to this effect was taken by the Cabinet on January 30, IPN reports.
Within a month, the Energy Efficiency Agency will approve the organigram and will present it to the State Chancellery for approval. The duties of the Energy Efficiency Fund will be fully transferred to the Energy Efficiency Agency.
The reorganization forms part of the central public administration reform that was initiated in 2018 and was preceded by functional analyses for both of the authorities.
The mission of the Energy Efficiency Agency is to implement the state policy in the field of energy efficiency, including by attracting and managing financial resources for financing and promoting energy efficiency projects and the use of renewable sources of energy.
