Energy Commissioner to visit Moldova

European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger agreed during a phone conversation with Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat on Monday to make a visit to Moldova as soon as possible, the Moldovan Government announced in a press release. Gunther Oettinger reiterated the European Union's readiness to further support Moldova's efforts to modernize the country, including through projects that aim to strengthen its energy security. Vlad Filat thanked the Commissioner for the constant support offered by the EU to Moldova in consolidating its energy security, stressing that this support is very important. The two officials also exchanged views on the agenda of the Energy Community's Ministerial Council meeting, to take place this week in Montenegro.
