Employment opportunities for young women of Cahul raion

Twenty three young women from the villages of Cahul raion will end on August 23 the instruction course within the “Project on the Generation of Workplaces at Tricon JSC”, the Cahul-based “Univers FM” radio announces, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The project aimed at offering technical and personal instruction to the young women from Moldova and providing workplaces in the country as an alternative to leaving abroad. Also, it aims at diminishing the number of trafficked women. During six months, the young women aged 16-25 benefited from professional instruction courses and trainings on gender equality and leadership abilities. Additionally, they were offered an internship during three months at the Cahul-based clothing factory JSC “Tricon”. Subsequently they were employed at the factory. During the entire instruction period, those 23 women were provided housing and transportation, food, as well as psychological and legal counselling offered by the Regional Support Centre from Cahul, administrated by the Association of Business Women “FEMIDA”. Implemented by several partners from Moldova, the project on the generation of workplaces is financed by the Government of Moldova, US Government as well as by the local private sector.
