The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family called on employers to create work conditions for employees during the hot period. The modification of the work regime is one of the main measures that must be taken. The employers must provide the employees with at least two liters of water, shadowed areas and medical assistance, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the institution.
Under the Law on Security and Health at Work, the employers are obliged to organize recreational breaks, especially on dog days, while the work program must be reduced. They should also take measures to protect the employees’ health. The employees must have on them a medical kit, equipment for protection against sunlight and communication means for emergencies.
Daytime temperatures on August 7-10 will vary between 34-36 degrees Celsius all over Moldova.
