The employers and trade unions ask modifying the functioning method of the national tripartite commission for collective negotiations and consultations and making sure that members of the Government and representatives of other central public authorities take part in its meetings, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The request was made on January 26. The National Employers Confederation and the National Confederation of Trade Unions consider that the mechanisms defined in the law on the organization and functioning of the national commission for collective negotiations and consultations are inefficient and hinder the resolving of the problems faced by the employers and employees, while the institutions involved in the social dialogue only hold interminable and useless discussions.
The employers and trade unions express their concern about the development of the social dialogue, saying the Government does not take into account social partners’ proposals. The two confederations consider that the attitude of the Government and the institutions managed by it ignore the principles of the social dialogue and defy the social partners, the employers and employee, the payers of taxes into the national public budget.
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovanu, who heads the tripartite commission, said that he does not agree with the statements made by the employers and trade unions. “The Government took many steps to improve the quality of people’s lives the previous year. Every time we provided arguments for their requests. The people got used to asking and giving nothing instead. We cannot fulfill all the demands. A country that does not pay taxes cannot exist,” he stated.
The representatives of trade unions and employers said yet they cannot endure any longer as the people want to work legally, while the Government, by its decisions, stimulated the underground economy.
