The about 2,500 employees of three municipal divisions of Chisinau will get bonuses to salaries as of July 1 until December 31 this year. A decision to this effect was taken by the municipal councilors by a unanimous vote on June 28, IPN reports. The money for the purpose was obtained as a result of savings made at the here divisions.
The Social Division employees, in the number of 1,292 persons, will benefit from a bonus of 40% of the tariff salary. “These employees are very disfavored. Regrettably, their salary varies between 1,100 and 1,600 lei only. What we propose is a minimum necessary for these employees. We refer not only to social assistants, but also to ancillary personnel, guards,” said Socialist councilor Ion Ceban.
A number of 772 Culture Division employees will also get a bonus of 40%, while almost 500 employees of the Division for Children’s Rights Protection will benefit from a rise of 30% of the tariff salary.
