The Public Amenities Division of Chisinau started work at 4am. About 350 of its employees have cleaned snow from sidewalks, yards of apartment buildings and public transport stations, assisted by 11 Hako vehicles and 26 tractors, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall, there are no closed streets in the municipality and traffic moves in winter conditions. The public transport runs according to the program of a usual workday. A number of 302 trolleybuses and 99 buses were placed on routes in the morning.
All the education and medical institutions work as usual and heat is supplied according to the schedule of temperatures.
As regards the homeless persons, 83 people without a stable domicile were lodged at the shelter situated at 2 Haltei St in Chisinau.
During the night, the road maintenance company “Exdrupo” engaged 67 vehicles in snowplowing and anti-icing works.
