Eminescu Academic Center to be repaired for 4th time

The Eminescu Academic Center from Chisinau will be repaired for the fourth time. The rains have severely damaged the roof. The municipal authorities blame the company charged with carrying out the works, Info-Prim Neo reports. At Monday's sitting of the City Hall, on 21 July, vice mayor Nistor Grozavu said a committee established the works had been carried out “with deviations from technology.” “It's not the quality of materials, it's the quality of works,” he said. In these conditions, the municipality obliged the company to solve all the problems of the edifice, as the company committed to repair the roof for free. Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca asked deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu to compile the minutes that may be useful for a possible legal inquest. The quarters of the Eminescu Center were built in 2000. Since then, it has been repaired thrice. As the roof proved no resilience to the rains of June 19, this year, many unique books could have been destroyed.
