Emergency Service doctors announce a growing number of acute respiratory diseases. Doctor-coordinator Anatol Proca told Info-Prim Neo that on Monday, 4 February, and on Thursday night, 142 children and 83 grown-ups complained of respiratory diseases.
Although most of the patients complain of muscular pain, fever, headache and sore eyes – symptoms associated with influenza, doctors say that so far no cases of flu have been registered.
On Monday, other 66 persons were admitted to hospital for mumps treatment, Anatol Proca said.
An unidentified man of about 45-50 years was hospitalised with alcoholic intoxication. The man was found in the street.
A young mother, 27, gave birth to a boy in her house in the suburban town of Codru. The newborn and his mother were taken to the maternity ward.
On Monday, the Emergency Service registered 954 calls, including 59 cases of trauma and 4 brain concussions.
