The emergency numbers 901, 902 and 903 are no longer active. As of July 1, the ambulance, police and firefighting services can be called through 112 only, IPN reports.
The automated information system of the 112 service can receive up to 120 calls simultaneously. The average waiting period until a call is answered is 11 seconds, while the average call processing period is 45 seconds.
Depending on the frequency of calls, the number of operators can reach 23.
Currently, about 73% of the calls processed daily are non-urgent calls.
