From Monday, August 18, the emergency document acceptance and issuing office will work in a new building. It was transferred from 11/1 Gheorghe Asachi Street to 56 Alexandru cel Bun Street, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Ministry of Information Development. The new, European-type building was erected recently and outfitted with modern equipment, the quoted source said. According to the Ministry of Information Development, the work program of the office will not change. The Moldovan identity cards and passports will be legalized and issued within 4, 8 and 24 hours and 5 and 10 days upon demand. Until present, the employees of the office provided services for 390 persons a day. As many as 83,317 persons legalized different kinds of documents at the office in 2007. The authorities hope that the number of people that will use the services of the office at its new location will rise by 20%.
