Musicians from the whole world can take part in the international contest “George Enescu” that is held in Romania. The competition enables the contenders to showcase their talents and promotes the young musicians. The 15th contest of the kind will take place between September 3 and 16, 2016, the Embassy of Romania in Moldova has said, quoted by IPN.
The contest “George Enescu” will be hosted by the Romanian Athenaeum and by the Music University of Bucharest. Four sections of the contest will be devoted to the top three most important soloist instruments – violin, violoncello and piano – and to composition.
The contest, which is affiliated to the World Federation of International Music Competitions, contributes to establishing the world’s great musicians and offers the young artists extraordinary opportunities for advancing careers and being promoted.
The contest “George Enescu” is the only classical music competition in Romania, which is recognized by the International Federation of Festivals Organizations. It is one of the biggest challenges for young artists.
