The visitors of the Embassy of Italy in Chisinau who need consular services are asked to schedule an appointment by writing to the email address amb.chisinau@esteri.it or by calling on +373 22 266 720. Information will be provided only by phone and on the Embassy’s website www.ambchisinau.esteri.it.
In a press release that is quoted by IPN, the Embassy of Italy in Chisinau says the measure was taken after the Government of the Republic of Moldova raised the alert level from “yellow” to “orange” and in a move to ensure the efficient protection of the health of the Embassy’s visitors.
The meetings with people for solving consular aspects at Moldova’s Embassy in the People’s Republic of China will be suspended from March 9 until end-March. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the measure is designed to minimize the risks related to the epidemiological situation in the world, including China, in connection with the spread of the COVID-19.
The first case of infection with the novel coronavirus was confirmed in Moldova on March 7, in a 48-year-old woman who returned from Italy.
