The Embassy of Germany, in cooperation with the National Museum of Arts, is staging an exhibition of paintings by German painter Gabriele Lockstädt, who is a laureate of the Art Museum Trophy, within the third International Painting Biennial, Chisinau 2013.

The exhibit is mounted under the auspices of the German Ambassador to Moldova Matthias Meyer. The diplomat told a news conference that the paintings of Gabriele Lockstädt give reasons for refection. She is very appreciated and known and has an impressive collection of paintings. The painter staged exhibitions in Russia, the U.S., Switzerland, and France.

Gabriele Lockstädt told the same news conference she knows that she knows nothing. This is the theme of her works. She applied a mixed technique and used acrylic, pigments and Indian link. The use of ash is another particularity of her work.

The exhibition contains 30 paintings made over the last few years, including a series of works specially painted for the Chisinau exhibit that opens on June 18 and closes on July 14.

Gabriele Lockstädt is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists (BBK), Upper Bavaria, and of the International Association of Art Europe (GEDOK). For her works, the painter received the art award of the city of Ebersberg.
