The German Bundestag invites graduates of higher education establishments of Moldova to apply for an International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) to spend five months in Berlin. The IPS program is aimed at highly qualified young men and women who are interested in politics and who are proficient in German, IPN reports, quoting the Embassy of Germany in Chisinau.
The scheme involves fifteen-week placements with Members of the German Bundestag. The participants are introduced to the wide variety of tasks carried out in a Member’s office. The goal of the program is to extend the relations between Germany and the Republic of Moldova.
Over 100 persons from all over the world annually take part in this program. Since 2008 until now, 28 young people from Moldova could benefit from the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of Germany’s system of parliamentary government. The program will last from March 1 until July 31, 2018. The participants will get a monthly scholarship of €500, free accommodation and insurance.
The applicants should have been born after March 1, 1988 and should know German very well.
