A group of mayors from the district of Dondușeni in northern Moldova announced they were leaving the Democratic Party lamenting its “degradation before the people.”
The eleven mayors, representing half of all the mayors in the district, said in a statement that the decision was reached collectively in response to the latest developments in the country.
The mayors say they are open to discuss with any political force, the Government, Parliament and other institutions for any future cooperation.
The mayors are from Sudarca, Horodiște, Arionești, Crișcăuți, Briceni, Teleșeuca, Scăieni, Rediul Mare, Târnova, Dondușeni, and Cernoleuca.
